We've left the lower 42...

... and arrived well in Girdwood, about 40 miles south of Anchorage. It's snowing like crazy now, but yesterday we got some good skiing in (unfortunately no flying yet though). Cingular of course doesn't work (so no phone connectivity for me) and an arm and a leg is being charged for any communication means, including accessing the Net - don't even mention Wifi - it's old-fashioned dial-up or hook-up and pay $$$ per minute. So probably you won't read too many updates here any time soon, but rest assured, I'll mention one thing: Alaska is great!!
