Ubiquitous Gadget Lust

If there's one thing living in Silicon Valley does to a person, then it's this: it can bring even the strongest of minds in a state of Ubiquitous Gadget Lust. My latest gadget is without much doubt the best since sliced bread: a handlebar-mounted RF remote control for my iPod! The latter goes away in a backpack, and by pressing the buttons on my handlebar I can pause - when I need to divert all my attention to some technical section on the trail, or when I want to say hi to some friendly hiker - and I can browse or zap through the songs whenever I feel like. It works also great in the car, for handsfree iPod control. May be somewhat prone to interference with other RF devices though (my wireless bike odometer, for instance).
